Hello everyone,I hope you are enjoying the day! I have been working on the Luminarte Blog for a few years and I have something very special to share with you today. I have always loved art and have worked in this industry for over 20 years with all types of artists. One area in particular that is dear to my heart is working with young artists. They are fearless and have no rules when it comes to working with products. Unfortunately, some children do not get exposed to art because their school does not offer it to them. Others only let them use crayons and markers as their only mediums. If I had not been not been exposed to art and the different mixed medias to create, inspire and express myself, I would be an entirely different person and not have the life I have today. After many years of working in this wonderful industry, I feel we need to make a spot for young and growing artists in the world. Hence...YAW!
YAW is the Young Artists' Workshop. It is about young growing artists that would like to share their ideas, techniques, and creativeness in mix mediums to other artists. YAW is an outlet for young artists to encourage, inspire, and motivate other young artists.
In our first artists' debut, Abby Ferguson and Natalie Watson will be creating a Headband holder from a Quaker Oats container. Noelle Watson will be behind the scenes video taping them, while I "supervised". I believe we all have a creative flame inside of us; we just need the spark to start it.
